Super Nintento Entertainment System (SNES)

Super Nintendo Entertainment System

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) came to the North American market in 1991 and remained until 1999. Over 49 million units were sold worldwide before the SNES was ultimately discontinued in 2003, making it the best-selling console of the 16-bit era. Out of the 1,757 officially released games for the SNES, 717 were released for the North American market. This is my original SNES from Christmas 1992. Here's me playing with my SNES for the first time!

For the longest time, the only game that I had was Super Mario World, and when my sister and I finally beat all 96 levels, we refused to overwrite that particular game slot. Amazingly the original battery that maintains saved games in the cartridge is still going strong, and that same game slot still holds our original saved game!
